OUR MECHANICAL BREAKDOWN WARRANTY
Should the unlikely chances of a customer’s vehicle suffering a failure directly attributable to the Essex Tuning remap, then our Mechanical Breakdown Warranty will cover the repair or replacement of the defective part.
- The warranty is valid for 12-months or 30,000 miles, whatever comes first, up to a maximum of 60,000 miles.
- The maximum claim limit is £10,000.
- Vehicles with mileage over 60,000 miles are not eligible for the extended warranty.
- The cost of the warranty registered on each qualifying vehicle is £100.
NOTE ON INSURANCE BACKED WARRANTIES
The extended warranty is backed by Essex Tuning’s own warranty fund, it is not insurance company backed. We do not offer an insurance backed warranty as we do not believe them to be fit and most of the time to do cover enough for our customers.
WARRANTY ON DPF/EGR/ADBLUE SOLUTIONS
If a warranty is issued on a job that includes a DPF, EGR or an AdBlue solution, the warranty will only cover the software side, not the hardware.
It does not include any hardware for example, sensors, pipes, etc. Failures in the exhaust system, as these may have been damaged, or poorly treated during any hardware process (which is outside our control) and would not be subsequently affected by the file.
